28th April Walk

We welcome you on your personal pilgrimage journey. We go on pilgrimage to give time to open ourselves to God. For some, the destination –the sacred place- is where God is found. For others, God is revealed during the journey, perhaps in conversation with fellow pilgrims. We invite you to discover more of God as you walk the Coventry Pilgrimage.

Parking
Burton Green: Parking on the verge and layby on Hodgetts Lane (parking not available to us at the Village Hall on this occasion)
Stoneleigh: Pilgrims should park in the Meadows – entrance in Vicarage Road (CV8 3DH) will be signposted. (A donation at Stoneleigh church to this village charity will be appreciated).
Remember to arrange transport in a group if possible, sharing cars and leaving a car at your destination, before driving to the starting point – not forgetting that everyone’s boots or sturdy shoes or trainers need to be with pilgrims at the starting point!

Lunch
Perhaps pilgrims as they walk will find companions to share a late lunch with at Hickory’s Smokehouse at Burton Green or The Oak at Baginton, or The Cottage Inn, Kenilworth. It’s up to you.

Walk leader for April 28th Dave Butler from St Barbara, Earlsdon

Walk notes:
Most of the walking is on tracks or over fields but take care for your own safety on the road leaving Burton Green and crossing the Stoneleigh road. Also, watch out for flying golf balls whilst crossing the golf course.

God of our journey,
As we walk with you on your path of obedience,
Sustain us on our way and lead us to your glory;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
